That's Enough...post 104..

Today I became nostalgic due to my facebook memories.. 99.99% lovely. Actually, I am glad I have memories. I was once told by a good friend of mine to watch videos and look at pictures when your kids were little because it helps you when they grow up. I don't know, does last year count? For them being little? My beautiful people will always be my beautiful people no matter where they roam.

I decided I needed some air. I drove down to Kenduskeag Stream. I have spent a lot of time there, writing in my journals. As I drove by the river, I noticed there were only two parking lots. Huh...I never knew that. I guess everything just looks differently when its brown, gray, sad, ugly...are you sensing a mood in me? You would be accurate. Most of the spots were taken, so I kept on traveling up to Ohio Street, made a right into Mount Hope Cemetery.

I remembered a bench I went and sat at this past summer, or maybe it was fall. I thought, I am going to find that bench. Oddly enough as I drove into the cemetery, I felt led down this road, and what do you know, there was the bench, and directly in front of the bench was a statue of Mother Mary. I got out, sat down, and became still.

I know this will sound weird to all the Non Catholics, but I felt this need to "talk" to Mary. I said, You are the Mother of all Mothers. You carried the Son who was meant to save all of us. You must know how it feels when one is grieving over a child. Your son was created for every single child. Every Single One of Us. You know about the lost sheep or the lost coin. You know about death. You know anguish. You are a Mom who Loved Her Son. And technically, he wasn't you son in the true sense of what we consider "son", but you loved him, you protected him, you prayed for him, and you provided for him for whatever he needed. You accepted him from Day 1, no questions asked. Except to say..Okay, here I am, I will do this, what you have asked of me. You had no crystal ball, you had no idea what was going to happen, you just said, Okay. I'm doing this thing....called servanthood.

I then went on to write a letter. I wrote in my journal. I prayed and cried.

I got up at one point and hugged the statue. I know, even weirder...but...I was just going with it. Have you ever just sat in silence and followed your gut and your heart's leading? I wonder what would happen to this world if we took seconds of each day to simply be still. Breathe. Cry if you must. Pray. Ask. Forgive.

Another new spot has been established where the Creator and I can meet. I am a "spot" person. I am also a memory person. I love my spots, and I love my memories. Those memories and spots are enough for me now. My life is full. But, oh how I love. I said to God today, If you are God, you knew you would find me on this bench, on Saturday, April 8, 2017, in a cemetery. How is it I was in a completely different place a year ago, and you knew I would be in that place, having no clue I would be in this place, today. Its a mystery, one that I would like to figure out. It's a mystery to me, but not to God.

So, I left my spot, mind cleared, somewhat peace filled, oh, mostly peace filled. I'm not going to lie and say, everything is A-Okay because I sat for an hour on a bench and prayed and "talked". Life is not that simple, as least, not for me. But what I will tell you is in those moments, on that bench, in that cemetery, I felt a presence. My inner spirit was prompted. I drove away able to take in deep breaths. I was able to return to my home, go about my daily stuff, look into my husband's eyes and believe him when he said "I love you so much." without questioning "Why?" because I let go of my sadness for some brief moments and can appreciate this beautiful soul before me.....

That's Enough. for Today.

I love you.

I would like to tell you a different story in 3 weeks.....post 103

Hello there. My resolve to write two times a week since the ending of my 100 day writing challenge has gone debunk. I have had ideas, but I have not written them out here. The daily writing habit really is quite wonderful because it makes it so that you HAVE to write, therefor producing a work to read. I will share with you one of my ideas that has been brewing for a week.

Last weekend I was having a conversation with a dear person. She said to me, "I would love to be telling you a different story in three weeks, but it seems as if my life is on replay of the same negative situation. I want it to be different, but I just don't see an end in sight." I concurred with her that I felt the same way. I want a different story. In 3 weeks. You know, that should be enough time for a completely different life, right?

When I got off the phone I began to ponder several things. First being, in 3 weeks from that time of discussion would be my birthday. I will be 49 years old. I am entering my 50th year of life on this earth. Its also Easter, the historic holiday of New Birth, whether you are celebrating springtime and bunnies or the Resurrection or both.

What happens when you are old, like me? You ponder, think, dissect life into pieces, rework, replay, regurgitate moments with fervor, wishing for more chances to do things differently, hoping for conversations, and, in general, rethinking EVERYTHING. And I Mean EVERYTHING>>>>> as far back as you can remember, which, according to most recent picture posts from my teen years, I am wondering if I was photoshopped into some of the pictures because I have no memory of being there, with that hair, or with those WHITE pants on...

I want a different story in 3 weeks...

Why?

Because I don't have any time to waste.

As you age you realize how quickly life passes. When I was 19 I thought about nothing. I got upset about everything. I had loads of time to waste. I was young, I was trying to figure things out, I thought I knew it all already, so there was no talking to me. I had time to argue, I had energy to argue, fuss, fight, have high expectations of everyone around me. Time to waste.

I am entering my 50th year. I have no more time to waste.

I don't have time to judge others. I don't have time to be right. I don't have time to hate. I don't have the energy to hate, actually. I don't have time for gossip. I don't have time to critique others' lives. I don't have time to waste. My days are numbered. They always have been, but it seems more ominous now that I have entered the latter years.

What do I want included in my new "Story" in 3 weeks?

I want to be surprised. I want to be loved. I want to hear laughter in my house. I want sunshine in my pocket. I want to see God in tangible ways that I will relate to. I want to be forgiven. I want to forgive. I want to be happy. I want a re-birth of hope, joy, love, unity, relationships, and honesty in my life.

I don't want to waste any more time.

Its too precious to me now.

I want my story to be different in 3 weeks. Any maybe not because my outward situation has changed, I would love that in some ways, but that my Inward Situation has changed. My inward focus to be focused on how to make time count.

The most important way I know to make time count is to
Love,
Be Loved,
Matter,
and Make Beautiful Choices....
(thank you mentor and dearest friend, Bill Cumming....your words always take root with me)

Loving is never a waste of time.
People are never a waste of time.
Making a beautiful life is a good use of time.

I love you all.
